Apple pie

As easy as pie, yet incredibly delicious in all its simplicity! Give this one a try.

Apple pie

Ingredients 6 - 8 people

Filling
5-8 apples
1 dl sugar
1 tbs cinnamon

Crust
200 g plant based margarine
4 dl white flour
1 dl sugar
A pinch of salt
1,5 tsp baking powder

Method of preparing:
Peel- and core the apples and cut them into smaller pieces. In a bowl, mix the apple pieces with the sugar and cinnamon and leave to rest while preparing the dough for the crust.

Melt the margarine in a pan while mixing together the remaining, dry, ingredients then pour the liquid margarine in the bowl and stir until your dough is ready. Press the dough into the pie plate, using your hands, until it’s covering all the edges. Add the apple filling, then bake at 200 C for 25-30 minutes. Leave it to cool down, then serve your pie with vegan vanilla custard or vanilla ice cream.
